The Opportunity:

Are you ready to make a real impact? This exciting position allows you to support participants in ConnectGV’s Residential, Day, and Outreach Services. You'll play a crucial role in enriching lives through engaging activities and promoting supported independent living. Core Responsibilities:             

  • Empower Lives: Provide person-centred support to individuals with disabilities, assisting them with daily living activities, personal care, and community engagement.
  • Foster a Safe Environment: Foster a safe, nurturing environment that champions independence, dignity, and respect for each individual.
  • Collaborative Care: Work alongside clients, their families, and other professionals to develop and implement personalised care plans.
  • Be an Advocate: Stand up for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
  • Document Success: Maintain accurate records of client progress, achievements, and any incidents, adhering to organisational policies and procedures.
  • Keep Growing: Continuously enhance your skills and knowledge through training and professional development. 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to making a positive difference in their lives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships.
  • Empathy, patience, and a compassionate nature to provide the best possible care and support.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and situations.
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability Support, Individual Support, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid driver's license
  • Satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check and Working with Children Check.
  • COVID-19 vaccination compliance.
  • NDIS ‘New Worker Orientation’ module (prior to appointment).
