Shifts are available Monday to Friday, between 8:00am and 4:00pm.

About the Role

As a Day Programs Support Worker, you will assist participants with disabilities to:

  • Build and maintain everyday life skills
  • Engage in meaningful recreational and educational activities
  • Access their local community
  • Develop confidence through programs such as swimming, performing arts, work skill development, and more

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Deliver Programs: Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where participants can grow in confidence and ability.
  • Work Collaboratively: Partner with individuals, families, and local organisations to support participants’ goals.
  • Promote Advocacy & Rights: Ensure participants are heard and supported in a person-centred way.
  • Document Progress: Maintain accurate records of participant achievements and incidents in line with ConnectGV policies.
  • Continuous Learning: Embrace opportunities for professional growth and adapt to changing needs.

 

About You

  • Passionate about disability support and community inclusion
  • Ability to work with challenging behaviours
  • Develop and implement activities to promote engagement and independence
  • Skilled in communication and relationship-building
  • Empathetic, patient, and flexible
  • Experience with program activities in disability support service

 

Preferred Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability Support, Individual Support, or a related field (desirable)
  • Understanding of NDIS Practice Standards
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (prior to appointment)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check, and Working with Children Check
  • Completion of NDIS New Worker Orientation module
  • Compliance with current COVID-19 vaccination requirements
