ConnectGV is a not for profit organisation providing disability services across the Goulburn Valley. Our services include residential supports, day programs, individual support, plan management and supported employment.

ConnectGV’s Social Enterprises are Social Traders Certified and exist to create meaningful employment opportunities for people living with disability. Through real workplace environments, participants gain industry skills, confidence and employment pathways while contributing to their community.

Our Social Enterprise portfolio includes Billabong Wholesale Nursery, Billabong Flowers, Billabong Lawns and Gardens, Billabong Rags, and the Over the Counter Container Deposit Scheme.

These enterprises provide hands on experience across horticulture, floristry, grounds maintenance, recycling, logistics and customer service, supporting people with disability to build skills and participate in meaningful work.

The role

The Social Enterprise Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic leadership and operational management of ConnectGV’s Social Enterprise portfolio.

You will lead supervisors, employment officers and enterprise teams while supporting supported employees and participants to achieve meaningful employment outcomes.

Working closely with the Executive team, you will drive the commercial sustainability, growth and social impact of the enterprises while fostering a strong culture of collaboration.

We are seeking a leader who values teamwork and can ensure the enterprises operate as one ConnectGV team, fostering collaboration across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and support Social Enterprise staff and teams
  • Drive sustainable business performance across the portfolio
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and partnerships
  • Build strong relationships with local businesses, stakeholders and community networks
  • Support the recruitment and sourcing of supported employees and participants into meaningful employment programs and pathways
  • Ensure strong governance, safety, quality and NDIS compliance
  • Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement
  • Promote a collaborative culture aligned with ConnectGV values.

About you

You are a collaborative and strategic leader with experience developing business opportunities and leading teams.

You will bring:

• Experience identifying and developing new business opportunities or partnerships
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to build a positive team culture
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience in financial management and operational oversight
• Sound judgement and strong problem solving capability
• A commitment to supporting people with disability.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Business, Community Services, Disability, Horticulture or a related field are desirable.
