The Role
ConnectGV are seeking a leader to play a pivotal role in overseeing one of our residential houses in Shepparton.
The role requires someone with a proactive approach to problem-solving, effective written and verbal communication skills, along with advocacy, negotiation, and strong interpersonal abilities. You will be responsible for recruiting and retaining staff, providing ongoing supervision, leadership, support, and development, and roster management, to provide strong resident support and care. The service leader will manage staff and participant feedback, and reporting.
As the service leader, you will be accountable for the timely preparation and completion of incident reports, including monthly analysis, and will be able to effectively resolve issues, manage conflict and foster the shared values and goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience leading teams
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to making a positive difference in their lives
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and situations
- Qualifications in Disability Support, Individual Support, or a related field (preferred but not essential)
- Valid driver's license
- Satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check and an employee Working with Children Check
- COVID-19 vaccination compliance
- NDIS ‘New Worker Orientation’ module (prior to appointment)
